Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This policy explains what The Guffweavers (guffweavers.com, "the site") collects, why, and what happens to it. The site is a community project for the The Guffweavers Twitch team — it doesn't sell data, run ads, or use advertising trackers.

1. What we collect and why

Public Twitch data (all members)

For each team member, the site syncs public information from Twitch's API: username, display name, avatar, channel banner, bio, chat name color, broadcaster type (e.g. Partner), live status, current stream title/category, published stream schedule, and last-live date. This is used to build member profiles and the team schedule. It's the same information anyone can see on Twitch itself.

Twitch sign-in (members who log in)

Signing in with Twitch shares your Twitch identity with the site so it can match you to your member account. The site also stores the resulting access and refresh tokens. These are used only server-side, for features you opt into (currently: fetching your own follower count if you enable stats on your profile). They're never shown to other members and are replaced each time you log in.

Content you add (optional)

Anything you choose to put on your profile: intro/bio text and images, custom links and icons, uploaded fonts, event notes, color and layout preferences, and settings such as showing stats, showing a Partner badge, or opting out of schedule syncing. Uploaded files are stored on the site's server.

User-submitted media

Members may upload or embed images, fonts, text, and other media on their profiles. The site does not pre-screen this content. By uploading or embedding any media, the member confirms they have the right to use and display it on a public website and that it does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other rights. The site and its administrators accept no liability for member-submitted media.

Viewer statistics (members)

While a member is live, the site periodically records their public concurrent-viewer count to calculate a 30-day average. Samples older than 30 days are deleted automatically. The average is only displayed if the member turns stats on.

Discord linking (optional)

If you link a Discord account, the site stores your Discord user ID and username, and uses the team's Discord bot to assign you a member role and send you direct messages you explicitly request (such as your schedule image). Linking is optional and can be undone from your dashboard at any time, which deletes the stored Discord details.

Cookies and technical data

The site uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in — no analytics or advertising cookies. The web server may keep standard access logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting, as virtually all web hosting does.

Member profiles — including display name, avatar, bio, links, schedule, notes, and any stats or badges you've enabled — are visible to anyone on the internet without an account. Everything else (tokens, Discord IDs, settings) is private to the site and its administrators.

3. Third parties

The site exchanges data with Twitch (sign-in, profile and schedule syncing) and, if configured, Discord (account linking, roles, DMs). Visitors' browsers also load resources directly from third-party CDNs — Google Fonts (for member-chosen fonts), and cdnjs (icons, scripts, and the TinyMCE rich-text editor used in the dashboard) — which means those services receive standard web request data (such as your IP address) when a page loads. Their practices are governed by their own policies: Twitch, Discord, Google. No member data is sold or shared for marketing.

4. Retention and deletion

To have your account and data removed, ask a site administrator. To remove specific content (a photo, a link, your bio), you can do that yourself from your dashboard at any time.

5. Security

Access tokens and other private data are stored server-side and used only for the features described above. No system is perfectly secure, but the site collects the minimum it needs and nothing is stored that isn't used by a feature you can see.

6. Children

The site is intended for Twitch team members and their audiences, and follows Twitch's minimum age requirements. It is not directed at children under 13, and no accounts exist outside the team roster.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Significant changes will be announced through the team's usual channels.

8. Contact

Privacy questions or deletion requests can be raised with the site's administrators through the team's usual channels (for example, the team's Discord server or Twitch team page).
